These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all services offered by Unified, including our website, mobile applications, scheduling systems, and transportation services (collectively, the “Services”). 1. Our Purpose

Unified provides safe, compassionate, and reliable transportation for seniors and individuals with mobility needs. Our Services are intended to enhance dignity, independence, and peace of mind.

2. Who Can Use Our Services

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book a ride. If you’re booking a ride on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are authorized to do so by that individual or their legal representative.

3. Ride Bookings

When scheduling a ride, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including:

  • Passenger name and contact info
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses
  • Time and date of travel
  • Any special mobility or care needs

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid a no-show fee.

4. Passenger Conduct

To ensure safety and comfort for everyone:

  • Passengers must behave respectfully with drivers and staff
  • No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances in vehicles
  • Disruptive or dangerous behavior may result in denied service

5. Driver Conduct

All Unified drivers are trained professionals who provide:

  • Door-to-door assistance
  • Safe and respectful service
  • Vehicle hygiene and accessibility
  • Identification and tracking through our platform

6. Payment & Insurance

  • Service fees (if applicable) will be communicated during booking
  • You are responsible for any costs not covered by a healthcare provider or partner organization
  • Unified Transit is fully insured as required by law

7. Technology Use

You agree not to misuse our website, app, or backend platforms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Unauthorized access or tampering
  • Automated scraping or excessive requests
  • Impersonation of others

8. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using our Services, you consent to that policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and app — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Unified or its licensors. You may not reuse or distribute our materials without written permission.

10. Service Limitations

Unified is not an emergency transportation provider. In case of a medical emergency, call 911. Our Services are designed for scheduled, non-emergency transport.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific ride or service

12. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Services for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraud or abuse
  • Threats to staff, drivers, or other passengers

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The “Effective Date” at the top will reflect any changes. By continuing to use our Services, you accept the current Terms.
